In his ever pompus tone, Rush Limbaugh attacks a campaign ad featuring Micheal J. Fox promoting a candidate for her position on stem cell research.  I guess Rush doesn't want a cure for Parkinsons disease until they come up with a cure for his personality.  A man with a history of abusing pain killers shouldn't throw stones a man with "real problems."

Michael J. Fox has a serious illness and I guess that Rush just couldn't "spin" that in the way he so often turns the truth on its head.  The man should simply be ashamed of himself!  I have more respect for Micheal J. Fox after the dignified behavior he showed after Rush commented that "He’s moving all around and shaking and it’s purely an act. … This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn’t take his medication or he’s acting.”  Fox just said that it was good to get the press talking about stem cell research just before an election.

I am proud to see Fox involved in supporting an issue that is so personal to him, and many others, during this election.  He isn't merely grandstanding for a political party the way some others do.  I lost what little respect I had for Rush... and I am a registered Republican.  Though the more I hear from people like Rush - the more tempted I am to distance myself from the party.
